Cornwall; wild and craggy coastlines, picturesque countryside, quaint fishing villages and colourful towns – call us biased but The Duchy is just beautiful. With such stunning landscapes, you’d be silly to sleep inside! Gazing up at the stars, toasting marshmallows around the camp fire, dancing through muddy puddles…sounds idyllic doesn’t it?

Now that summer’s on its way, we’ve rounded up our top five favourite Cornish coastal camping spots so you can unwind, enjoy the simpler things in life and breathe in that fresh Cornish air. Spoiler alert: Local secrets are about to be revealed…

Whitsand Bay Fort, Torpoint

There really are no words to describe this breathtaking location. With ocean views as far as the eye can see and the added benefit of being just on the border between Devon and Cornwall, you really do get the best of both worlds.

Travel across the Tow Bridge and indulge in a spot of retail therapy in the ocean city of Plymouth or simply laze around and soak up the Cornish charm. There’s even an adorable café perched half way down the cliffside – perfect for a hot chocolate after a dip in the sea.

Treen Farm, Penzance

For a truly relaxing, clifftop campsite retreat, this is the one. Home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, the sea stretches from the gorgeous Lizard Peninsula right across to the Isles of Scilly. Sitting just above Porthcurno Bay, this campsite is perfect for families, walkers, cyclists, climbers or anyone who loves the outdoors!

Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, enjoy organic milk straight from the resident cows, fry up fresh eggs on the camp fire and enjoy many scenic walks along the golden sands.

Beacon Farm, St Agnes

Nestled in the heart of a traditional, Cornish family farm, this delightful little campsite provides the perfect escape whatever the time of year. Sitting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and awarded The Dark Skies Status, you can guarantee stunning panoramic views and complete tranquillity from your stay.

The picturesque village of St Agnes is just a short drive away – perfect for a meal out or a wander through the pretty streets. With easy access to the Southwest Coast Path, the walking scenery is second-to-none.

Chy Carne, Kennack Sands
